Why the different style classes?
Urban Yogi offers an array of classes to accommodate the different types of practice you need on a day to day basis. We know how precious your time is therefor each class only runs for 60 minutes. Be sure to mix up your classes to optimise your practice, health and fitness.
Which class is for me?
Urban Yogi classes are open to all levels of experience. Have a read of our class styles, decide on a the class best suited to your body’s capabilities and level of fitness. Ultimately find a time that works for you, then come along and try us out!
What can I expect in a class?
Urban Yogi classes vary according to your guide and class style. Doors open 15 minutes prior to class commencement. If your new to Yoga be sure to arrive early and in class place yourself in position where you can see your guide and other students. We are a vinyasa studio so our classes are dynamic but also incorporate pranayama ( breath), meditation and savasana.
What if I’m not flexible?
Yoga is not about flexibility. With time and practice, flexibility improves. If flexibility is your priority look to attend classes such as Urban Align or Urban Yin.
What do I need?
Urban Yogi is a fully equipped Yoga studio. Please bring your own mat if you have one or borrow one of ours at no extra cost. Wear comfortable clothes you can move in
Do I need to book?
We do have a full online booking system to ensure your place in your favourite class. If your new you will not be able to book online until you hold a current pass. Doors open 15 minutes prior to class, so ensure your on time so you don’t miss out!
When can I start prenatal Yoga?
Experienced yogis can continue on throughout their pregnancy. New Yogi’s we recommend from 12 weeks onwards or check with your Dr before attending. If your not sure please feel free to contact us
I’m pregnant can I attend other classes other than prenatal?
For experienced yogis yes! For those not so, look to attend Urban Basics or Urban Align classes. Please ensure you alert your guide at the start of class. You will be given modifications during class to accommodate your beautiful bump. Please adhere to these so we can keep you both safe.
When can I attend Urban Mummy (Mummy and Bubbie) yoga?
We recommend from 6 weeks onwards however your Dr may advise sooner or later. If your unsure please feel free to contact us.
